Marriage of Gaming and Mobile Money

    0
By Staff Writer on September 24, 2015 Business, Gaming, Products

After reading ‘’TAPPING INTO THE N40 BILLION SPORTS BETTING INDUSTRY’’  by Yahaya Maikori and my experience signing a gaming company on ReadyCash®, I ask the obvious question ‘’Do the Mobile Money Operators not see a clear symbiotic opportunity/relationship for the Mobile Money and Gaming businesses?’’

    They both:

    1. Need a vast Agent Network to succeed
    2. Both operate Virtual wallets
    3. Require cash-in & Cash out options
    4. Experience agents in/out movement

While Quickteller and the numerous payment gateways offer options for cash-in on the Gaming platforms, Mobile money (ReadyCash, Firstmonie, GTBank, Stanbic etc) offer an array of options for cash-out to one time (cashless ATM withdrawals), repeat (Virtual/physical Cards) and loyal customers (MobileMoney wallets).

The synergy will guarantee reduced agents migration and higher earning potentials from MM transactions whilst building a sustainable ecosystem where every player wins.

Welcome aboard Interswitch Financial Inclusion Services Limited (IFIS) the Battle can now begin!
