This is a new challenge in town and it seems to have caught on like wild fire. It is the #manequinchallenge.
It is all about posing in an elaborate scene, like mannequins in department stores. Essentially, everyone strikes a pose and someone films it.
This is the video that started it the viral sensation. It’s believed to have been created by high school students at the Edward H. White High School in Jacksonville, Florida. It was published on the 27th of October and has been shared and liked over 4,000 times.

However, it was hashtagged “manequinchallenge” with one “n,” so you can find Mannequin Challenge videos under two hashtags right now on Twitter (“#MannequinChallenge” and “#ManequinChallenge”).
As of Monday morning ET, an Instagram search for the hashtag #MannequinChallenge turned up more than 56,000 results.
Though this first video didn’t have music, others have included music to make it more exciting. Here are some entries:
