Logidoo, a logistics company committed to enhancing trade throughout Africa, has introduced Afridoo, an innovative platform aimed at streamlining online commerce and bolstering African entrepreneurs. Established in 2020 by Tamsir Ousmane Traoré, Logidoo has crafted an all-encompassing logistics solution that spans the entire supply chain.
The company’s approach includes collaboration with both formal and informal sector participants, ensuring broad market penetration that addresses aspects from transport to financial transactions. With operations in Senegal, Morocco, Ivory Coast, and Tunisia, Logidoo has successfully integrated over 3,000 logistics providers into its network, executed upwards of 100,000 operations, and catered to the needs of more than 400 clients.
Earlier in the year, Innovation Village reported that Logidoo had secured a US$1.5 million funding round to support its “ambitious” growth strategy. Following this financial boost, Logidoo has now launched Afridoo, a robust tool designed to aid small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), individual traders, and corporations in navigating and flourishing within the African e-commerce sector.
Afridoo offers a comprehensive suite of services that allows businesses to consolidate their online activities, broaden their market reach, and address logistical hurdles. The platform incorporates an Order Management System (OMS), a Warehouse Management System (WMS), and a Last Mile Management System (LMS). This trifecta of capabilities provides merchants with the tools to effectively oversee every facet of their e-commerce ventures.
CEO Tamsir Ousmane Traoré elaborated on the benefits of Afridoo, stating;
Afridoo simplifies the intricate process of managing disparate systems for stock, orders, and delivery logistics. By presenting a unified platform for online store administration, inventory tracking, order processing, and customer engagement, Afridoo equips businesses with the autonomy to optimize their online commerce activities.
