In a bid to take advantage of the average Nigerian’s love for music to get a piece of the Nigerian’s mindshare, Lenovo has signed on the Kukere master, Iyanya Mbuk (a.k.a Iyanya), as a Brand Ambassador.
Lenovo Group Ltd. is a Chinese multinational technology company with operations in more than 60 countries and sale of its products in around 160 countries
Lenovo recently launched seven different smartphones in Nigeria.
Lenovo has been active in the news lately with the signing of Hollywood star, Ashton Kutcher, as its product engineer late last year and more recently, the purchase of Google’s Motorola Mobility’s smartphone business.
This move by Lenovo seems to be a strategic initiative to establish its foothold in Africa’s emerging ICT market
Iyanya popularly known for hits like “Kukere”, “Your Waist” was the winner of 2008 MTN Project Fame West Africa.
He is also Telecoms giant MTN’s ambassador.
