Lenovo has announced the appointment of Shashank Sharma as the new executive director and general manager for the Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) regions.
The move has been taken in a bid to expand its business and push more Lenovo products into the region.
Mr Shashank Sharma boasts 23 years of experience in IT, having previously served in the capacity of Executive Director and Asia Pacific Lead of Lenovo’s Mobile Business Group, and Motorola.
He oversaw all business strategy, sales and operations, marketing and customer relations for Lenovo and Motorola’s smartphone business in the AP and MEA regions; prior to which he handled Lenovo’s PC product operations in MEA between 2011 & 2014.
The new leader for Lenovo in META said, “This year, we will intensify our engagement with key partners to help diversify our product lineup across regional markets. I am excited to embark on this journey with my team and to see how we can create innovative and meaningful experiences for our customers to benefit from for years to come.”
