The Latest Galaxy Note 7 is Still Having Battery Issues

This is still the biggest story in the smartphone world and it’s the latest on the Galaxy Note 7. Now, you’ve all been waiting to see how Samsung’s updated Note 7 refresh is going but it may not look that good for the company.

A report by CNN claims a Chinese man’s newer version of the Galaxy Note 7 exploded in less than 24 hours before getting the phone delivered to him. The explosion caused minor injuries to two of his fingers and burned his Macbook.

A Samsung representative visited the man to collect the phone but he refused to hand it over, because he didn’t trust Samsung to expose the reason for the fire. He’s now trying to publicize the matter.

If that wasn’t enough, a report from a South Korean Tv news network says a growing number of complaints are now claiming the updated phones are still having battery issues.

This time, they are accelerated battery drain or difficulty charging when plugged in. Now one example of battery drain was jumping from 75% to 49% in just 39 minutes or gaining only a 10% charge an entire night of charging.

So far the battery drain incidents are limited to South Korea and Samsung is claiming these are also isolated incidents. And on the recent explosion, Samsung said it was “currently contacting the customer” and planning to “conduct a thorough examination of the device in question once they receive it, so we’ll just have to wait and see.
