Last week Lamudi, Nigerias leading online property platform, announced that it had crossed the 20,000 listings mark in the country. Having only launched in Nigeria nine months ago, this is a remarkable achievement, and the team at Lamudi have put together an infographic showing how the platform has grown successfully across this period.
As well as progressively increasing the number of overall listings, Lamudi has also dramatically increased the number of sellers on its site. From just 150 registered sellers in January, this number rose to 4,628 in July. In fact, the number of sellers has more than doubled in just the past month, and there are almost five times as many sellers on Lamudi Nigeria now than there were in May.
This is important because a high number of sellers ensures the widest possible choice for buyers. However, Lamudi is not just focused on quantity; the platform also strives for quality. To this end, all adverts are held to strict quality standards and feature clear and trustworthy information alongside high-quality photos.
Obi Ejimofo, Managing Director for Lamudi Nigeria, commented: This represents a major milestone for Lamudi Nigeria. Were proud of how much weve grown over the past nine months, and have no plans to slow down in the future. With the launch of our Android App last month, and iOS app last week, we have helped many more Nigerians to access the Lamudi platform and have made it easier than ever for customers to browse property listings wherever they are.
June and July have been hugely successful months for Lamudi all over the world: just last week it was announced that the platform had crossed half a million listings globally, while elsewhere in Africa Lamudi Tunisia has just reached 10,000 listings after several months of rapid growth.
