Nigeria’s commercial capital city of Lagos will next host this year’s edition of the Digital Broadcasting Africa Forum organised by the Commonwealth Telecommunications Organization (CTO).
According to the organizers, the event builds on the successful Digital Broadcasting Switchover Forum Africa events that have taken place over the last decade, and recognises the changes that have taken place in broadcasting during that time.
“These events have helped policy makers, regulators and operators from the African broadcasting and ICT sectors to map out their strategies for digital switchover,” CTO stated.
The Digital Broadcasting Forum 2016 will provide an excellent opportunity for participants to learn from each other about successes in the field of digital broadcasting, as well as the challenges posed for the future. Solutions to these challenges and the opportunities available for digital broadcasting will be examined through interactive sessions led by global knowledge leaders. The audience will be composed of policymakers, regulators, broadcasters, content developers, network infrastructure providers, operators, equipment manufacturers and opinion leaders.
