Earlier this month many Econet subscribers were left with smiles on their faces after downloading the Kwesé Free Sports App and were mesmerized to a LIVE NBA Africa Game match that was FREE of charge, the app was zero rated for watching that live game.
Econet has done it again! It has announced that the app will be zero rated tonight on their network for Harare Boxing Explosion which will be live at Rainbow Towers – HICC starting at 20:00.
The app will be zero rated tonight from 19:00 – 00:00 so that Econet subscribers will be able to watch the live match happening at Harare Internation Conference Center without having to use any data. You can download the Kwese Free Sports application if you’d like to tune into the boxing match from the app when it starts.
The event, dubbed Harare’geddon, has eight action-packed match-ups, including Zimbabwean cruiserweight Sting Gonarenda and heavyweight Elvis Moyo in two WBF Africa Championship bouts.
This is part of the Friday Fight Night Pan-African boxing series, a collaboration between Kalakoda Promotions and Kwesé Sport, which is shaking up the status quo of boxing across the continent.
While the undercard is stacked with some of the most talented fighters in Africa, including WBC cruiserweight contender Junior Makabu, who is looking to rebuild after a loss to Tony Bellew at Goodison Park in England last year, as well as local favourite Tinashe Mwadziwana, it is the main bout between Moyo, also an EFC mixed martial artist, fighting against Bernard Adie of Kenya for the vacant WBF Africa heavyweight title, that promises fireworks.
