Konga’s CEO, Sim Shagaya was yesterday recognized for his efforts in online shopping in Nigeria as he won the prestigious Entrepreneur of the Year 2013 Award in the CNBC/All Africa Business Leaders Award in West Africa.
The CNBC Africa All Africa Business Leader Awards is aimed at celebrating the efforts of bold individuals/African game changers who have shaped business on the continent in 2013.
While receiving the award, Sim dedicated it to the team and investors of Konga, describing it as a salute to Konga’s audaciousness, tenacity and innovativeness in online shopping in Nigeria.
He beat Tayo Oviosu, CEO of Paga and Fabrice Sawegnon CEO of Voodoo Group to win the award
Ernest Nnaemeka Azudialu-Obiejesi, CEO & President, Nestoil Plc won the same award for 2012.
