    Konga Celebrates Exemplary Women

    To commemorate the International Women’s Day, Konga hosted admirable women nominated by customers to a Roundtable Lunch where they were addressed, inspired and motivated to dream big, achieve greatness and impact lives by the award-winning CEO and Editor-in-Chief of leading monthly lifestyle magazine, Genevieve Magazine; Mrs. Betty Irabor. The women were celebrated for the enviable role they play in molding and shaping lives as they were encouraged to achieve their ambitions and commit to take practical steps to be the leader within their own spheres of influence.

    Speaking at the Roundtable Lunch, Konga’s Director of Customer Experience & Marketing; Mayowa Adebayo says “The Konga Naija Woman Roundtable Lunch provides a perfect opportunity for Konga Online Shopping Limited to celebrate women as we believe they are critical to finding innovative solutions to the challenges of poverty, inequality. With Konga Online Shopping Limited’s mission ‘To Become the Engine of Trade and Commerce in Africa’, the contribution of women at all levels to economic development is dependent on the strong values they pass along which strengthens and empower nations in building stronger economies and healthier societies.”  She said.

    Mrs Betty Irabor shared copiously from her life’s experiences as she encouraged the women to rise above every inhibitions, follow their own visions and be all they aspire to be. She urged them to be confident in themselves, develop skills that make them better, go from minus mindset to plus mindset and stay away from negative people. She urged them to be champions turning circumstances around to favor them.

    The Roundtable Lunch came to an end with the women taking turns to ask Mrs. Irabor various questions ranging from career, family and work-life balance and she graciously responded with wisdom and encouragement.
