Klas, an online tech company that allows anyone to set up an online school and deliver live classes, announced that it has raised $130k in an angel funded round led by a host of investors including Tola Adesanmi (Spleet), Odunayo Eweniyi (Piggyvest), Nadayar Enegesi (Eden life), Njoku Emmanuel (Lazerpay), Leonard Stiegeler (Jumia), Voltron capital, Cabal Fund, Velocity Digital, HoaQ.
Founded by Nathan Nwachuku and Lekan Adejumo in December 2021, Klas’ mission is to unlock the power of knowledge sharing.
Klas intends to double down on platform innovation and powering online schools globally with the funds.
According to Nathan, the 18-year-old CEO & co-founder the idea for Klas popped up when he was looking for an easy way to teach Physics online after being out of school for 5 months due to the loss of his right eye. After he graduated from high school, he turned down his college admissions to explore his new obsession. He later met Lekan, the CTO & co-founder, in the YC matching platform where they instantly bonded over a shared vision to build the future of online education.
Klas claims it has grown its waitlist to 2,000+ creators, launched V2, and partnered with top brands globally. Creators on Klas can teach anything including coding, design, crypto, business, languages, and more.
