You are cordially invited to the kick-off session of Social Change Lab for Health.
Everyday, thousands of lives are lost in Nigeria due to preventable causes. While we wait for government to get its act together, there is room for well-meaning Nigerians to drive innovative solutions that contribute to improving the state of healthcare delivery in Nigeria for the benefit of all citizens.
While technology offers no magic solutions, the proliferation of mobile phones and the growth of internet access in Nigeria provide a platform through which healthcare providers and practitioners can enhance the services they deliver to save lives and improve well-being of Nigerians.
Social Change Lab 4 Health is an initiative to support the development and scaling up of innovative technology tools to improve healthcare delivery in Nigeria.
It is to this end that Co-Creation Hub Nigeria, a social innovation centre dedicated to accelerating the application of social capital and technology for economic prosperity, is delivering Social Change Lab 4 Health.
Through the Lab, we will find, improve and support the scale up tool ideas with the help of healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, hospital administrators, HMOs etc) and technologists from the CcHub community (3400+). We will also help the ideas access critical support in form of early stage and scale up funding as well as critical knowledge partnerships.
The stakeholder session will be an opportunity to understand the current state of healthcare delivery in Nigeria, the problems we should be addressing and areas where there is room for innonvation.
We will have senior health professionals and experts in the sector on hand to help dissect the key issues at play in this key sector.
Details of the event are as follows:
Date: Saturday, 8th of February 2014
Time: 12.00noon to 4pm
Venue: CcHub, 6th Floor, 294 Herbert Macaulay Way, Sabo, Yaba, Lagos
The session will conclude with networking over light refreshments at the amazing CcHub rooftop.
If you are interested in transforming a sector so close to the wellbeing of every Nigerian, we invite you to join us at session.
