Kenyan logistics startup, Sendy, has partnered with local supermarket chain to provide door to door delivery services to customers.
Kenyans have been urged to avoid public places and remain in their homes in a bid to control the spread of the novel corona virus.
The government also urged citizens to prioritise cashless transactions. Local telcos, Safaricom and Airtel have waived fees for transactions south of $10, and increased the capacity of their mobile wallets.
The move by Sendy and Tuskys will enable people to purchase much needed goods from the safety of their own homes.
The following is a press release from Tuskys.

Kenya has so far reported three confirmed cases of COVID-19, and has quarantined several other suspected cases for testing.
Sendy is a logistics startup that offers services for e-commerce, enterprise, and freight delivery. It currently has offices in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.
Sendy recently raised a $20 million series B round.
