Kaymu launches its Seller Referral Scheme and Pathway

Today, Kaymu (www.kaymu.com.ng), Nigeria’s leading online marketplace launched its ‘Seller Referral Scheme’ and ‘Seller Pathway’ programmes. This enables Kaymu’s users to earn money without selling any products and sellers to increase their performance.

The referral scheme is designed to generate revenue for Kaymu sellers who recommended friends and family to use and successfully drive high quality traffic to the platform. Existing sellers can partake in this scheme simply by asking a potential seller to successfully list products on Kaymu. The details of the referees will be obtained during the verification process and they start earning as they watch their friends progress through the seller pathway.

Kaymu’s co-founder, Massimiliano Spalazzi commented “Nigeria has a large population and it is constantly growing, unfortunately it’s economic and employment growth is something that requires support. According to the African Development Bank Group in 2013, figures show that 60% of people living in Nigeria are receiving less than one dollar per day. Our seller referral scheme and pathway are two great programmes that will contribute towards Nigeria’s economy, employment and growth, by providing users with the opportunity to earn up to 50,000N. We look forward to seeing the Kaymu community grow after the introduction of both programmes.”

The pathway programme encourages vendors to improve their performance by helping to increase the number of orders, delivery times and ensuring all transactions are completed efficiently. Once the seller becomes more active on Kaymu, they move up the ladder from bronze, through to silver and gold to become platinum sellers. Throughout the sellers progress or she is able to access a performance reward rating system that helps to improve and monitor he’s or she’s conversion rates, whilst their referee earns money.

For each step of the pathway, sellers have the opportunity to gain additional benefits including: increased visibility on the website, competitor analysis, visibility on Facebook advertisements and newsletters.
