    Jumia to ensure quality retail and improved customer services in 2015

    Nigeria’s major ecommerce platform Jumia has revealed its plans for 2015. The plan exclusively obtained by Innovation Village revealed the e-commerce giant would be focusing on ensuring quality retail and improving customer services in the new year.

    The company said it is still striving to be the Amazon and Walmart of Africa making stronger its Human Capital Development with the aim to double the size of jobs created in 2014 through expansion of every aspect of its business.

    “We will continue to discover and nurture our talent in growing the nation’s economy and eventually creating many more job opportunities for young Nigerians. As has been the case some employees who left Jumia through the years have moved on to start profitable businesses of their own backed with adequate knowledge transfer , best practice, innovation and technical know-how where needed,” Jumia said.

    The company also revealed it would in the new year increase the capacity of its delivery infrastructure for better and faster delivery services across all 36 states in Nigeria including the FCT.

    Jumia said: “We also have planned to give our customers an even wider choice of assortment of premium products from both local and international brands alike to choose from. We realize the needs of our customers and the need for Nigerians in general to get quality authentic products. Overall, 2015 with Jumia will be an experience that will further redefine organize retail and consumer behavior in Nigeria.”
