Jumia has just announced it is collaborating with Spar, Smartmark and C’N’C to bring Black Friday in Nigeria to both physical and online stores. This is a stepping stone in Nigeria’s retail landscape as 2015 will be the first year Black Friday mega sales are brought offline, deepening furthermore the presence and impact of this event in Nigeria.

Jumia had been the first retail store to bring the concept of Black Friday to Nigeria back in 2013, an American sales event that had progressively won over many countries and continent to become the biggest worldwide sale event of the year.

Jeremy Doutte, CEO Jumia Africa commented on the partnership “Getting retail store giants Spar, Smartmark and C’N’C to collaborate with us for Black Friday shows how huge and crucial this sale has become in Nigeria. When we first brought it there back in 2013, we never expected to encounter such a frantic success. We are already witnessing a 100 times more traction on our website for pre-Black Friday than last year at the same period and our collaboration with our offline partners is definitely contributing to that trend”.

Jumia’s Black Friday will kick-off at Midnight on Friday the 27th of November for 24 hours of flash sales and amazing deals on electronics, computers, home appliances, fashion and many more. To take part in this once in a lifetime sale, sign up to our newsletter, download our app and RSVP yes to our Facebook Event. It is #NoworNever to shop till you drop.
