Two major companies in the Africa Internet Group, Jumia, Côte d’Ivoire’s leading ecommerce platform and hellofood, the leading marketplace for online food ordering, have partnered to offer an unforgettable Christmas to the children of the “cri du Coeur” (cry from the heart) association  on Saturday, December 26th.

Jumia and hellofood, two major e-commerce players in Côte d’Ivoire, have joined the “cri du Coeur” association for the 5th edition of “Noël du coeur” (Christmas from the heart). Gathered by the volunteers of the association, hundred children in difficulty or living in the streets of the capital city of Abidjan, converged to the neighborhood of Deux Plateaux in the town of Cocody, to live the magic of Christmas.

Overall, it’s over 1.2 million CFA francs (over 2000 USD) worth of clothes, bags, shoes, etc. that both Africa Internet Group’s ventures have offered to the kids present and to those who remained at the shelter homes.

The “cri du coeur” association is a humanitarian organization that helps street children and children in difficulty. It was created in Abidjan in 2011 and its actions include emergency medical care, long-term medical monitoring, nutritional rehabilitation, assistance for education and professional integration.

The 5th edition of “Noel du coeur” has enabled children to share with members of the association a memorable day, marked by games, animations, rich meals and the traditional gifts offering.

Africa Internet Group, the leading internet platform in Africa, promotes sustainable online growth that benefits both businesses and consumers. Firmly rooted in Africa’s startup ecosystem, the group provides easy-to-use services and smart solutions across the African internet sector.
