After a rigorous screening process at the annual Nigerian Hospitality Security Workshop (NIHOSSEW 2014) Jovago.com was crowned with the Nigerian Hospitality Security Award for being the leading online hotel booking company in Nigeria.
The NIHOSSE workshop is a yearly event held by the Nigerian Hospitality Security Network. It aims to educate hoteliers, hotel owners, the Nigerian hospitality industry as well as the general public on security challenges of hotels and catering organisations, while offering solutions to surmount them.
Some of these solutions include simple techniques for detecting and preventing flammables in the hotel environment, carrying out personnel security checks and detecting suspicious activities. The workshop featured speeches by CP of Lagos State Command Cornelius Kayode Aderanti, CEO of Halogen Security Company Limited Wale Olaoye and Chief Femi Falana (SAN).
The President of the Nigerian Hospitality Security Network, Prince Chris Okojie commented, “Operators in the tourism industry will continually be educated on issues bordering on security and ways to cope with the challenges in accordance to global best practices.
