The $100 million Tony Elumelu Entrepreneurship Programme is the flagship entrepreneurship programme of the Tony Elumelu Foundation, founded by visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist, Tony O. Elumelu, CON. Its goal is to create 10,000 businesses that can generate 1,000,000 new jobs and contribute $10 billion in revenue to the Africa economy.
The second cycle of the Tony Elumelu Foundation Entrepreneurship Programm is on. on March 1, 2016, the application portal closed with an excess of 45,000 entrepreneurs across 54 countries in Africa applying. On March 22, 2016, the 1,000 successful applicants who make up the 2016 cohort of the programme were announced.
