In the coming six months, this pioneering competition will highlight 20 of South Africa’s most promising startups as they vie for a remarkable investment of $1 million. Beyond providing a significant financial boost, the competition also guarantees invaluable national media exposure, which has the potential to elevate these startups into the spotlight, greatly enhancing their visibility and expanding their reach.

The competition is structured into three distinct phases. Initially, ten startups will compete in each of two regional qualifiers—one set to take place in Johannesburg in April and the other in Cape Town in August. From these qualifiers, the top five startups from each location will earn a coveted spot in the grand final, which will be held during the South African Future Trust Summit at the prestigious Sandton Convention Centre in October.
