Jetour has officially appointed W Motors as its authorized distributor in Nigeria, marking a major step in the Chinese automaker’s expansion across Africa and signaling deeper commitment to one of the continent’s most competitive automotive markets.

The partnership combines Jetour’s global automotive innovation with W Motors’ local market expertise, operational capacity, and after-sales infrastructure. Together, both companies aim to deliver technologically advanced vehicles tailored to Nigerian road conditions, while raising standards around customer experience, reliability, and service excellence.

The announcement was accompanied by the official Nigerian launch of the Jetour G700, a luxury hybrid all-terrain SUV designed to showcase the brand’s engineering ambitions and long-term vision for the market.

    Strengthening Jetour’s Nigeria Strategy

Nigeria represents a strategic growth market for Jetour, given its large population, expanding middle class, and increasing demand for feature-rich vehicles that can handle diverse terrains. By partnering with W Motors, Jetour gains access to an established distribution network, local market insights, and customer-facing operations critical to scaling sustainably.

According to the companies, Jetour Nigeria will focus not only on vehicle sales but also on building a dependable ownership ecosystem—supported by professional after-sales service, spare parts availability, and customer-focused support structures.

Customers can already experience the brand firsthand at the Jetour showroom on Adeyemo Alakija, Victoria Island, Lagos, which serves as the brand’s flagship retail and experience centre.

Jetour G700 Makes Its Nigerian Debut

As part of the partnership rollout, Jetour unveiled the G700, positioning it as a premium hybrid SUV built for both luxury and off-road performance.

The G700 is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged engine paired with two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 904 horsepower and 1,135 Nm of torque. This powertrain enables the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, an impressive figure for an all-terrain vehicle of its size.

Designed with versatility in mind, the G700 offers a total driving range of between 800 and 1,000 kilometres, addressing range anxiety for long-distance travel. It also features a 900 mm wading depth and seven intelligent off-road driving modes, allowing confident performance across city roads, highways, rugged terrain, and challenging off-road environments.

    Technology, Comfort, and Long-Term Value

Inside, the Jetour G700 leans heavily into premium comfort and digital sophistication. The six-seater cabin features massage seats, advanced healthy air systems, and a spacious interior designed for both daily driving and extended journeys.

The cockpit is built around four-screen interaction, providing drivers and passengers with access to navigation, vehicle diagnostics, infotainment, and connectivity features. A Snapdragon-powered voice assistant enables hands-free control of key functions, reflecting Jetour’s focus on intelligent in-car experiences.

To reinforce confidence in its engineering, Jetour is offering the G700 with an industry-leading seven-year warranty with unlimited mileage. This is expected to resonate strongly with Nigerian consumers, where durability, long-term reliability, and cost of ownership remain key purchasing considerations.

    High-Profile Launch Signals Long-Term Commitment

The Nigerian launch event was attended by Mr. Yuan Anguo, Vice President of Jetour International, whose presence underscored the company’s long-term commitment to Nigeria and the wider African market.

The event drew strong interest from industry stakeholders, media, and automotive enthusiasts, highlighting growing curiosity around alternative powertrains, hybrid technology, and premium SUVs designed for African conditions.

Jetour says the G700 represents only the beginning of its Nigerian journey, with plans to introduce additional models and expand its footprint as market demand evolves.

    Raising Automotive Standards

With this partnership, Jetour and W Motors say they are focused on elevating automotive standards in Nigeria—by combining innovation, performance, and strong customer support into a single ownership experience.

As Nigeria’s automotive market continues to evolve, the Jetour–W Motors collaboration reflects a broader shift toward technology-driven vehicles, hybrid powertrains, and long-term value propositions tailored to local realities.

For Jetour, the appointment of W Motors and the launch of the G700 signal clear intent: Nigeria is not just a market entry point, but a strategic hub for its African growth ambitions.
