Jack Dorsey was brought in as interim CEO in July this year when co-founder Dick Costolo resigned from the company.
Bringing Dorsey back means that the Board was unable to get a suitable replacement who would make a full-time commitment to Twitter. Jack Dorsey was the CEO of Twitter between 2007 and 2008 . As chief executive officer, Dorsey saw the startup through two rounds of funding by the venture capitalists who backed the company. He reportedly lost his position for leaving work early to enjoy other pursuits such as yoga and fashion design.
On his return to Twitter as CEO in a tweet; “My focus is to build teams that move fast, and learn faster. In the past 3 months we have increased our speed and urgency at both companies.”
He has already made his first change by making bigger emoji in DMs.
