In the iOS version of the Twitter app, a new search button has been added at the top right. It’s now easier to find tweets from a certain user on Twitter’s profile pages.
XDA Developers reports that this feature rolled out widely in the iOS version for the app, which social media strategist Matt Navarra observed had started surfacing for a small number of users last month.
It is not a new feature of Twitter per say. Using the usual Twitter search box, you may get the same results by using the syntax “from:[Twitter handle] [search phrase]. Using the app’s search feature, you could, for example, type “keyboard” into the search field to get all of my (poor) tweets where the word was used.
The addition of this new button makes things a little bit easier. In some cases, it might be useful when looking for a specific item that you dimly recall someone tweeting about months ago but cannot recall the specifics of the article itself.
It is just one of a slew of new features that Twitter has been rolling out to its service in recent months, including a search button that is now available.
Earlier this week, the platform introduced the opportunity for iOS users around the world to “Super Follow” Twitter accounts, which means consumers may now pay a fee in exchange for access to bonus content from content creators on the network.
The same month, Twitter also began allowing anyone to create one of its audio-only Space chatrooms, which are available to anyone. Among the other new features are the Twitter Blue subscription service, as well as Communities.
