It is always advisable to have the latest update especially if it is software-related. For iPhone users, Apple has released iOS 15, alongside iPadOS 15 and watchOS 8. They are all available for download.
There are FaceTime enhancements, better mapping, new notifications, and exciting things you can do with your photos. Beyond what is earlier mentioned, upgrading to iOS 15 will provide stronger and better security for your iPhone.
Before you download iOS 15
Ensure that you declutter your phone to create enough space for iOS 15. The new iOS 15 needs 3.25 GB storage space and you will need more to install it after download. Also, do not forget to backup your data.
Importantly, you must sort out the issue of whether iOS 15 is compatible with your mobile. As expected, iPhone 13 will come preinstalled with the iOS.

Download iOS 15
You can either wait for your phone to remind you with a pop-up alert that it’s available, or you can force a manual update.
a. Navigate to Settings and click on General
b. Tap Software Update. You might have to click Upgrade to iOS 15 at the bottom of the screen and then Download and Install, or you’ll be directed to Download and Install automatically.
Agree to Apple’s terms and wait. You’ll see Update Requested on the screen, which means Apple has added you to its download queue. Once it begins downloading, you’ll see a time estimate bar up top; how long you’ll wait depends on how many people are trying to upgrade. Your phone will then need to reboot, which could also take a few minutes.
If you need your phone during the day, there’s also the option to Install Tonight, which will do exactly that—install iOS 15 while you sleep, provided your device is charging.
