Sony has just launched a new Walkman named the Sony NW-A306 Walkman. It is the latest addition to Sony’s A300 Walkman series. and it comes after the launch of NW-WM1ZM2 and NW-WM1AM2 premium Walkman models last year, and the Sony NW-A105 launched in India back in 2020.
Weighing just 113 grams, the Sony NW-A306 has a 3.6 inch full-colour touch screen that gives you access to your music easily. It is built with a premium aluminium milled frame which provides superior rigidity for low impedance and clear, stable sound and solid bass.
It comes with the usual array of physical buttons for volume control, play/pause, and volume rocker. You can also customise the home display to suit your needs.
The Sony NW-A306 takes your digital music collection to another level with High-Resolution Audio. By capturing and reproducing digital audio at a higher rate than CD (24-bit/96kHz and beyond), High-Resolution Audio allows you to get closer to the original studio recording. It also features Sony’s proprietary AI upscaling technology DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), which the company promises can “restore acoustic subtleties and dynamic range”, leading to a richer listening experience.
Supported by Android 12 out of the box and compatible with Wi-Fi, you can enjoy your favourite streaming and music apps such as Spotify and YouTube right on your Walkman or connect to a PC to access your music collection. It has a 32GB integrated memory and an microSD card slot to save a lot of your songs.
The NW-A306 Walkman can last up to 36 hours on a single charge due to its long life battery. However, if you use music streaming service app, it will last up to 26 hours. As per connectivity, it comes with a USB Type-C port, stereo mini-jack and Bluetooth 5.0.
Expected before the end of this month, the Sony NW-A306 Walkman will be available for purchase in Europe for £349 and it will be available in blue and black.
