At the recent Microsoft Surface event held early in the week, Microsoft unveiled five new products coming this holiday and two new dual-screen devices – Surface Neo and Surface Duo – coming next holiday, 2020.
The products are as follows:

Surface Laptop 3
The Surface Laptop 3 is available in two options, a 13.5” or 15” display and new colors and finishes. The 13.5″ is available in four finishes – Sandstone and Matte Black with metal palm rest and Platinum with Alcantara, Cobalt Blue with Alcantara with material palm rest, while the 15″ is available in two finishes – Matte Black and Platinum, both with metal palm rest.
The 13.5″ measures 12.1” x 8.8” x .57” (308 mm x 223 mm x 14.5 mm) and weighs 1.265g – 1.288g while the 15″ measures 13.4” x 9.6” x .57” (339.5 mm x 244 mm x 14.69 mm) weighing 1.542g. Unlike the 8th gen Laptop 2, The 13.5″ comes ready with Quad-core 10th Gen Intel Core i5 or i7 while the 15″ has the new AMD Ryzen Surface Edition processor.
Both have up to 11.5 hours of typical device usage and have 8GB or 16GB RAM available, LPDDR4x for the 13.5″ and DDR4 for 15″.
In terms of pricing, Surface Laptop 13.5” starts at $999 and Surface Laptop 15” starts at $1199.
Surface Pro 7 and Surface Pro X
Surface Pro 7 is a 12.3″ touchscreen 2-in-1 laptop that’s ultra-light and versatile. It is now twice as fast with a 10th Generation Intel Core processor, both USB-A and USB-C and an all-day battery.
It measures 11.5” x 7.9” x 0.33” (292 mm x 201 mm x 8.5 mm) and weighs 775g (i3, i5) or 790g (i7). It comes ready with Windows 10 Home edition and a 30-day trial version of Microsoft Office 365. It is available in 4GB, 8GB, or 16GB LPDDR4x RAM
Available in Platinum and Black finishes, it starts at $749 and will be available as from October 22, 2019
At 11.3 in x 8.2 in x 0.28 in (287 mm x 208 mm x 7.3 mm) and 774g, Surface Pro X is the thinnest, lightest, most powerful and most connected Surface Pro ever. The new Microsoft SQ1 processor co-designed with Qualcomm pushes 2 teraflops of graphics processing power, and is the fastest Qualcomm processor ever created for a PC.
Available in black finish and starting from $999, the release date is November 5, 2019.
Surface Earbuds
The Surface Earbuds feature an ultra-comfortable design, intuitive touch and voice controls, screen-free access to Office 365, immersive sound for music and calls, and all-day battery.
It is compatible with Windows 10, Android 4.4, iPhone 5, iOS9, Bluetooth 4.1/4.2. Each earbud weighs 9.2g and the pack contains a 42g charging case.
Though release date was not mentioned, Surface Earbuds are priced at $249.
