A couple of days before the Samsung Unpacked event, Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Active2. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is the latest addition to the Galaxy smartwatch portfolio.
The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 is purposefully designed with new, intuitive, and refined features to bring more customization to consumers’ personal lifestyles, enhance their health and wellness as well as enable seamless, connected living.
The Galaxy Watch Active2 comes in two different sizes—44mm and 40mm in diameter—and two styles: lightweight aluminum with a casual Fluoroelastomer (FKM) Band, and premium solid stainless steel with a leather strap.
The smartwatch features a brand new upgrade to our signature rotating bezel—and turns it digital to make it even more convenient to navigate while maximizing the screen size. Now directly on the beautifully curved Super AMOLED screen, the rotating touch bezel turns both clockwise and counter-clockwise to advance screens so you can easily select favorite apps. Plus, the upgraded One UI offers a simple, clear and natural user experience for navigation.
The smartwatch is available in Aluminum: Cloud Silver, Aqua Black, Pink Gold with Fluoroelastomer (FKM) and Stainless Steel: Silver, Black, Gold with Leather strap.
The battery is 340maH for 44mm model and 247maH for the 40mm models. The Operating system is Tizen and the chipset is Exynos 9110 Dual core 1.15 GHz.
The Galaxy Watch Active2 with LTE connectivity allows you to make and receive calls freely from the watch, while apps like social media viewers are accessible with just a tap of the finger, and offer more interaction with your content.
Samsung also unveiled the Under Armour edition on Wednesday at the Samsung Unpacked 2019 event in Brooklyn.
Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition is a new type of smartwatch, designed for dedicated runners who want to take their fitness to the next level. As an expansion of the partnership with Under Armour, Samsung will provide a connected running experience, unlocking performance advantages that help runners optimize their form – and reduce the risk of injury – through unique features available on the Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition.
The purposefully designed Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition comes in a lightweight, sporty, aluminium body, with an exclusively developed watch face and two size options—the 44mm with Black strap and the 40mm with Mod gray strap. Both straps are made with Fluoroelastomer(FKM) material with a breathable design, ensuring a comfortable fit that will optimize performance.
The Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition includes six months of free MapMyRun Premium Membership, giving consumers access to training plans that push them to get more out of every workout. During workouts, the unique Under Armour watch display will feature key data such as heart rate, pace, and form so users can view real-time stats and see how their progress compares to their plans. When paired with Galaxy Buds, users can immerse themselves in their run with audio coaching cues at certain intervals throughout their workout giving them an extra push towards their goals. By connecting to their smartphones, users will be able to see more detailed workout reports with added insights following their run.
Exclusively on Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition, pairing the smartwatch with the UA HOVR Connected running shoes offers users up-to-the-minute stats on stride length and real-time form coaching. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Active2 Under Armour Edition will be available in the fall of 2019 at $309.
