Intel is taking a dig at Apple with its new ads comparing Apple Mac laptops to Intel-based PCs.
The company recruited the services of Justin Long—famous for his role in Apple’s 2000s “I’m a Mac” ads to do five ads posted in the company’s YouTube page. In the 2000 Apple ad, Justin Long was for Apple opposite comedian John Hodgman who was for the PC. Now he has decamped to the PC world.
Justin begins with “Hello, I’m a… Justin, just a real person doing a real comparison between Mac and PC,” referencing the “Hello, I’m a Mac” and “I’m a PC” start to Apple’s numerous ads.
Here are the five ads
This is the latest in the exchange of gibes between the two companies that started some months ago.
Last year, Apple replaced Intel’s semiconductor x86 chips with its own M1 chips, claiming its chips were the first system-on-chips built for its Mac devices and they made Macs faster, quieter and and give them longer battery life compared to previous Mac models and rival laptops
Would these five ads even make the Apple fans consider consider getting an Intel PC? I doubt it
