Popular read-it-later app, Instapaper, has decided to end its $29.99/year Premium subscription service, making all those paid features available to all users.
The app itself always been free, but it comes with a Premium subscription with added features which includes:
- An ad-free Instapaper website
- Full-text search for all articles
- Unlimited Notes
- Text-to-speech playlists
- Unlimited speed reading
- Send to Kindle via bookmarklet and mobile apps
- Kindle Digests of up to 50 articles
Back in August, Pinterest acquired Instapaper and as part of the acquisition, the Instapapers team will work on Pinterests core experience. The company said the change was made possible now that its team is better resourced and will continue to work on its app as a separate entity.
If youre already an existing Premium subscriber, the company is offering prorated refunds for your current subscription. With no more Premium charges for their services.
