#Love” has been the most popular hashtag used on the social platform the past two years, a spokesperson for Instagram told TheWrap. So it’s no surprise the most popular photos this year contain star couples. Also, they are all entertainers.

Ariana’s post on Instagram of her kissing Miley on the cheek and Miley looking ecstatic got an approximate 1.84 million views. 2014 has been a good year for both musicians with Miley selling out her Bangerz tour and Ariana releasing her sophomore album on August 25, 2014 where it debuted atop the Billboard 200 chart – her second consecutive number one.
2. Justin Bieber & Selena Gomez
Coming in second, Justin Bieber’s selfie with on-again off-again girlfriend Selena Gomez grabbed the attention of 1.9 million people. Justin has been in the attention for the public in 2014 more for legal problems and less for music. The couples relationship this year was plagued with drama.

The power couple’s nuptials in May was the talk of entertainment media. This portrait from the Italy wedding not only clocked 2.74 million likes to become the most-liked photo of the year, it set an Instagram record for most-liked of all time.
