Instagram Business Profiles has finally arrived with tools to help measure engagement and post promotion. Business account owners with the help of the Insight Tool can see their followers and post performances based on time of day to figure out when to best publish posts. A Target audience can be selected to whom they can promote a post or let Instagram automatically sort this out. Call to action buttons and timed period for promoted posts can also be added. As it was previously, over 200,000 companies use Instagram to promote their businesses but there was no insight tool to measure how well business thrived statistically.
For those who are yet to know about Instagram, It is an online platform for mobile photo-sharing, video-sharing, and social networking. The service enables its users to take pictures and videos, and share them either publicly or privately on the app, as well as through a variety of other social networking platforms, such as Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and Flickr. Originally, a distinctive feature was that it confined photos to a square shape, similar to Kodak Instamatic and Polaroid SX-70 images, in contrast to the 4:3 aspect ratio typically used by mobile device cameras. In August 2015, version 7.5 was released, allowing users to post photos captured in any aspect ratio. Users can also apply digital filters to their images. The maximum duration for Instagram videos is now up to a 60 seconds.
Instagram’s business profile and tools will roll out first in the United States, Australia, and New Zealand with a global rollout by the end of 2016 as promised by the company.
