    Innovation Village is giving away one (1) Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime smartphone. Launched in 2017 in Asia, Jumia officially made this phone available in Nigeria this month along three other phones – Redmi Note 5a, Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 plus.

    The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A Prime is powered by a Octa-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU processor with hybrid 32GB ROM and a 3GB RAM. The device also has 64 GB internal storage + microSD (up to 256 GB (dedicated slot)) and a 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen (720, 236 ppi) display. It has a 13MP rear camera and a 16MP front Camera.

    Xiaomi REdmi Note 5A Prime

    It has a Non-removable Li-Ion 3080 mAh battery at 7.7mm device thickness and weight 153g, running on Android 7.0 (Nougat).

    It is currently exclusively available on Jumia Nigeria for N45,890 but Innovation Village is giving one unit free.

      Firstly, I must say a big thank you to innovation village for providing Nigerians with the opportunity to own this device for free.

      Why do I need this device?
      As an undergraduate student, I’ll list few reasons why I need the device;
      – Xiaomi Note 5A prime comes with a 13mp rear camera, which means I can scan documents using the device and I would still look perfect.

      – Thanks to my school Wi-Fi I always love going on YouTube for tutorial videos, but the sad part is that I can’t stream for long because of my device poor battery capacity. But with note 5a running on 3080mah battery, I can stream for hours.

      – A 32gb inbuilt, with that much space I can save/download materials for my courses and won’t be bothered of running out of space. My present device is a 16gb ROM and is very frustrating. Will have to delete files to add new ones.

      – My present device lags/freezes anytime I want to use apps like wps or OfficeSuite and is very annoying, but with note 5a that won’t be a problem.

      – Everyone loves selfies and this is just the perfect device.

      – A 3gb ram device running on octal core with CPU speed of 1.4ghz, what more could one wish for, it means I can multitask between apps and still experience almost zero lag.

      This are just few out o the numerous reasons why I need the device.
