Injini, a non-profit company dedicated to improving educational outcomes in Sub-Saharan Africa, and Mastercard Foundation have once again opened applications for their joint EdTech Fellowship in South Africa. Selected companies will receive funding and other forms of support.
Since its establishment in 2017, Injini, a member of the UVU Africa Group, has made its mark as the only ed-tech focused accelerator on the continent. Through its programmes and the Injini Think Tank, the company aims to enhance the quality, accessibility, and relevance of education in the region.
Last year, it was reported that Injini had teamed up with the Mastercard Foundation to launch the EdTech Fellowship, specifically designed for South African startups. Beneficiaries of the scheme receive direct grant funding, product quality assessment, intensive skill training, personalized coaching and mentoring, tailored market research, and market accessibility.
Injini’s distinct approach and extensive experience in delivering ed-tech acceleration support have been integral to the success of our 2023 EdTech Fellowship, in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. Our dedication to cultivating collaboration, facilitating continuous learning, and promoting knowledge-sharing within the educational innovation ecosystem has shown positive results. This success has provided us with valuable insights that are shaping our strategy as we gear up to welcome applications for the 2024 programme.
Krista Davidson, Executive Director, Injini
Applications for the second installment of the programme can be submitted here until February 13.
