    Infinix Note 3 review

By Danjuma Okoro on October 2, 2016 News, Review

I have had the Infinix Note 3 device for two weeks now and after putting it through many tests to determine its strengths and weaknesses, I have finally decided to publish the full review. I know many have waited for this review and that is why I will focus on the design, the software, camera, fingerprint scanner, performance and the battery life.

In case you missed the unboxing and first impressions, check it out here.

The design of the Infinix Note 3

The Infinix Note 3 has completely changed my perception of the brand, the design of the device is a complete shift aesthetics compared to previous devices from the company. I personally like how the device was crafted. It has a big 6-inch display which is solidly built and always attracting attention whenever I hold it in my hands and it’s my favourite device ever from Infinix

    Software and specifications

The device comes with XOS user interface on top of android 6.0 marshmallow out of the box. During my unboxing I listed out the specs of the device which you might want to check out.

The interface of the XOS is clean and smooth and the icons are colored, bright and beautiful. There are X apps you might love: XShare, XAccount, XCloud, XManager, XPower, Xtheme, and Xweather.

    Camera

The Infinix Note 3 is fitted with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera. The 13MP back camera takes nice and great pictures in bright lighting condition with nice colour production. The front facing camera comes with a proper flash that helps to brighten up photos in a dim environment. It takes clear pictures but tends to make my photos yellowish which I don’t like. These are some of my best pictures from the camera.

    Fingerprint scanner

I am amazed by the speed of the fingerprint scanner on the Infinix Note 3. It is fast and accurate. The fingerprint scanner helps to secure your phone and can be used to take pictures and browse through pictures on gallery. It’s one of the features I like on the Infinix Note 3.

    Performance

The device performs well in everyday use, apps opening speed is good and it multitasks just fine but there are moments it slows down due to many apps in its memory. I like the fact that the device didn’t heat up during gaming but it gets a little warm when on data and playing games at the same time which is not unbearable.

    Battery Life

Powering the device up is a non-removable 4500mAh battery which promises 200mins talk time in 5mins of fast charge. During my daily usage of the Infinix Note 3, it serves me the whole day and I must say that the fast charging on the device is not a fluke-it really charges fast.

    Conclusion

If you are looking for a device that offers value for money, the Infinix note 3 won’t disappoint you. The long battery life, excellent design with metallic body and the fingerprint security all make the Infinix Note 3 a device to own.
