I think Elon Musk’s Tesla Motors is borrowing a leaf from Dr. Octopus

For those who are familiar with Spiderman, they would know Dr. Octopus; the super villain with a couple of electro-mechanical appendages.

It seems that Elon Musk, the South African born CEO of Tesla Motors is borrowing a leaf from Dr Octopus, in terms of using appendages.

He just twitted about working on a charger that connects like a solid metal snake. So it seems that Tesla motor owenrs do not have to worry about charging their cars. There will be robot like snakes that will do this for them

Btw, we are actually working on a charger that automatically moves out from the wall & connects like a solid metal snake. For realz.

The company recently opened its first battery-swap station as it attempts to make charging more convenient.
