He also added that “the future that we see is the future of technology and this is the technology that we are talking about. This is 21st Century technology that has been brought into our country. With hardcore manufacturing companies like Stallion Group Automobile, we can begin to see the need to dis-emphasise mono-product, which is oil.”
“With the innovation of Hyundai Kona, we do not need to put the pressure on what the pump price of oil is again, what the pump price of petroleum is.”
The car can drive 482 km (equivalent of Lagos to Asaba) at one charge which takes 9 hrs 45m for a full charge (0 -100%). It can go from 0-100km in 9.7 secs. It is priced at N24 million.
The Hyundai Kona car, manufactured by Stallion Group is 100 percent electric and comes with zero emission, 482km driving range, and can be charged both at home and workplace
The Governor said that the government will be partnering with Ibile Oil and Gas and other private organisations to create different charging points in the city, so that people will have where to charge the cars.

Hyundai Kona comes with a five years of battery warranty and five years of vehicle warranty. KONA Electric will change the way people think about going electric. It would make history as first EV to in Nigeria with local manufacturing”.
