Hublot has unveiled a limited edition watch to benefit the foundation of renowned Hongkong American martial artist, Bruce Lee who turned 75 this year. In conjunction with Bruce Lee foundation, the Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee was presented in Hong Kong during the Legend Never Dies: Bruce Lee 75th anniversary Memorial Exhibition.
The exhibition which held from Nov 23rd to 29th was divided into two themes, Retrospective of Movies and Treasures of Bruce Lee, the latter containing an original collection of Lees most iconic pieces, including his tang-style kung fu jacket, a genuine copy of the Way of the Dragon script, and the name card of Bruce Lee Martial Art Studio.
The Spirit of Big Bang for Bruce Lee watch features a cylindrical glass photo frame featuring Bruce Lees classic kung fu postures. A tonneau-shape case in all-black micro blasted ceramic contains the in-house HUB4700, automatic winding skeletonized movement. The watch comes with a 50-hour power reserve, and is limited to 75 pieces worldwide. At 4:30, the date display window is visible, while the chronograph displays seconds at 9 oclock, minutes at 3 oclock and hours at 6 oclock. Black and gold alligator leather sewn on natural rubber forms the unique strap of the watch, calling to mind the iconic colours of the legendary martial artist.
