Chinese Technology Giant, Huawei has stated its plans to assist developers create innovative services and rapidly respond to customers’ business needs with an offer of $1 billion. This was announced today on behalf of the company by the executive director and president of products and solutions; Ryan Ding. It was not clearly stated by the executive director what Huawei is looking at in terms of returns with this huge funding. The money is set to flow to developers over a period of 5 years.

Huawei just launched recently Google’s Nexus Brand; the 6P. This move showed major signs of confidence and trustworthiness by consumers in the Chinese brand outside the company’s traditional markets. Nexus smartphones are by now considered a hallmark of Android smartphones and Huawei’s participation is a significant achievement. LG and Huawei developed this years’ line of Nexus devices. Asides the Chinese market, the company is also making waves in the indian market with its strong revenue generation. This is obviously due to its Honor line of handsets which will probably double its current revenues.

With the release of the Huawei watch, wristbands and popularity of its other devices in the non-Asian markets, the company is looking to reach out via other means.
