Huawei Nigeria has reaffirmed its commitment to advancing digital transformation in the country’s hospitality sector through intelligent solutions that enhance operational efficiency, sustainability, and guest satisfaction.

The announcement was made during the Smart Hotel Solutions Conference, where Huawei unveiled a range of next-generation hotel management technologies aimed at redefining guest experiences and improving business outcomes for hoteliers across Nigeria.

Speaking at the event, Vito Zhao, Director of Commercial and Distribution Sales at Huawei Nigeria, said the innovations come at a pivotal moment for the nation’s hospitality industry. He explained that Huawei’s smart hotel solutions are designed to streamline operations, reduce energy costs, and elevate service delivery — positioning local hotels to compete more effectively in a rapidly evolving global market.

Zhao added that the company’s integrated technologies bring data-driven insights to hotel management, empowering owners to make informed decisions, improve energy efficiency, and strengthen customer loyalty.

Olugbenga Sunday, Convener of the Hotel Managers Conference Africa, emphasized the growing importance of technology in shaping guest expectations. He urged Nigerian hotels to embrace digital systems that deliver personalized and seamless experiences, warning that establishments slow to adapt risk falling behind in competitiveness and customer retention.

During the conference, Matamela Aubrey Mashau, Huawei’s Chief Technology Officer for Southern Africa, and Olayemi Joseph, Senior Solutions Architect at Huawei Nigeria, showcased the Xinghe High-Quality Hotel Network Solution and Integrated CCTV/FTTR Solution. These offerings include Wi-Fi 7 technology, anti-peeping privacy protection, and energy-efficient network infrastructure to ensure safety, sustainability, and improved return on investment.

Partner organizations such as Radisson Blu, August Resources, 21st Century Evolution Systems, and Valinno BioduxPMS also demonstrated how intelligent hotel systems can enhance security, operations management, and guest engagement.

Huawei’s vision for Nigeria’s hospitality industry reflects its broader mission to empower businesses through digital innovation, driving economic transformation and enabling the delivery of world-class experiences across Africa.
