Samsung recently announced a surprise Unpacked event called Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 for October 20 which happens to be tomorrow — a day after this evening’s Google Pixel 6 series launch. Samsung hasn’t divulged what exactly this Unpacked event will be about, but the company says it will show us how it’s “opening up new experiences for self-expression through technology” tomorrow.
The 12-second video invitation posted by the Korean conglomerate doesn’t explicitly reveal anything either, but we see some app icons, which might hint at the company making a software-related announcement. Perhaps something about One UI and Android 12’s stable rollout.
It is rumored that the South Korean firm could unveil new colors for its Galaxy Z series smartphones or announce home appliances under its Bespoke series. If this is true, this would be the first time the company is holding a separate event just for new color variants of existing products. The company could also announce special collaborations for its current and upcoming products during the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event.
The upcoming Unpacked 2021 event will be held online, similar to the previous Unpacked 2021 events where Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S21 series, Galaxy Z Flip 3, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. You can watch the event’s live video stream on Samsung’s YouTube channel on October 20, 2021, at 10 AM ET (4 PM in Harare, 3 PM in Lagos). The company will also live stream the event on its websites – Samsung.com and Samsung Newsroom.
It’s unclear if we’ll see the Galaxy S21 FE debut at the Galaxy Unpacked Part 2 event because the latest reports claimed it’s only coming towards the end of December or in January. Anyway, the launch event is just some 24 hours away, so we don’t have to wait much to know what Samsung has in store for us.
