How to Stream Sony Honda Afeela’s CES 2026 Press Conference Live

Sony’s CES 2026 press conference is just days away, and this year brings a surprising twist: instead of its usual broad overview of electronics, gaming, and entertainment, the event will focus almost entirely on electric vehicles. Why? Because the traditional end-of-press-day slot now belongs to Sony Honda Mobility, the joint venture behind the Afeela 1 EV, which has been a CES fixture for nearly a decade. This year, the company promises something new — an all-new concept model.

How to Watch Sony Afeela’s CES 2026 Press Conference

    • Date & Time: Monday, January 5 at 8 PM ET (3 AM the next day in Central Africa Time)
    • Livestream: Available via the Afeela official YouTube channel

What to Expect from Sony Honda Mobility at CES

The Afeela 1 has evolved since its debut as Vision-S at CES 2020, but recent reviews have been lukewarm. Despite its confirmed starting price of $89,900, critics remain unimpressed.

The EV feels like a PlayStation 4 in the PS5 era — the car lost what little interesting styling it had while sticking to specs that sounded good five years ago.

    Ouch.

However, CES 2026 promises more than just the Afeela 1. According to Sony Honda Mobility, the booth will feature:

    • Several Afeela 1 pre-production vehicles in multiple color variations
    • A brand-new Afeela concept model, offering a glimpse into the future of Sony’s EV ambitions

Sony recently announced that Afeela will be the first vehicle to support PlayStation Remote Play, allowing drivers and passengers to stream PS4 and PS5 games from their consoles while inside the car. This integration underscores Sony’s strategy to merge gaming, entertainment, and mobility into a seamless experience.

    Will There Be More?

While the spotlight is on EVs, we’re hoping Sony sneaks in a few surprises — perhaps updates on consumer electronics, gaming hardware, or media innovations for 2026. Between booth displays and press releases, there’s still room for Sony to remind us of its broader tech ecosystem.

Stay tuned for live coverage and hands-on impressions from CES 2026.
