    How to schedule SMS with new version of Google Messages app

    If you use Google Messages app as your default text application on your Android smartphone then read this. And if not this might finally get you to make the switch. Because people have different work schedules or are at time zones it is possible they might miss out on an important text message you want them to read. May be you’ve once forgotten to send a loving message to a friend on his or her birthday. There are a ton of reasons why you want to try scheduling a message instead of immediately.

    This latest feature is one of the several new Google updates to its Android apps. To use the schedule function, you will need to have installed the most recent version of Google Messages on your phone. Open the Play Store app, and go to ‘My Apps’ to check for updates. (newest version is 7.4.050)

    Follow these easy steps to schedule a text with the Google Messages app…

    Step 1: After typing in your text, hold (long-press) the ‘Send’ button to schedule the time.

    Step 2: Choose your preferred date and time.

    Step 3: Click ‘Save’, then ‘Send’ button.
