Voice messages can now be previewed via WhatsApp before being sent to others. The feature has been progressively rolling out over the last few weeks and is now available on iOS, Android, web, and desktop.
According to the feature’s support page, the option to listen to a sample of your recorded voice message displays when you touch the stop button to end the recording. Afterwards, you can get a preview of it by clicking the play symbol, deleting it by clicking the trash icon, or sending it by clicking on the send button in the toolbar.
New upgrades to WhatsApp’s voice message feature have either been released or are said to be in the works, including audio previews. Voice notes can now be played back at a faster rate while being listened to, which is useful for getting through extended and lengthy messages quickly.
Voice notes can now be played back at a faster rate while being listened to, which is useful for getting through extended and lengthy messages quickly. WaABetaInfo has been able to confirm that the latter feature is accessible in the WhatsApp for iOS beta version.
However, there is a possibility that more unique features will be introduced in the future. If you want to read a voice note instead of listening to it, WhatsApp says it is working on a new audio transcription feature that could one day let you read the text of a voice message instead of listening to it.
Meanwhile, WABetaInfo revealed in October that they’d discovered evidence of a “global voice message player,” which would allow users to listen to voice notes while browsing other WhatsApp conversations.
People in India use voice messaging a lot because many different languages are spoken there. Not everyone can read and write every dialect the same way they can understand it through their voice. That’s why Meta has been working to incorporate additional voice functions into WhatsApp, and it’s possible that this is contributing to Clubhouse’s continued success in the Indian market, which is now critical to the company’s future growth.
Adding more speech features to WhatsApp, which is already the region’s most popular messaging programme, might help users get the most out of the service and keep in touch via WhatsApp chats.
As of now, there is no information available about when (or even if, in certain cases) WhatsApp would implement these new voice message capabilities. A promising first step, though, is the ability to listen to a voice message before sending it.
To hear your WhatsApp voice messages before you send them, follow these simple steps:
1). Open WhatsApp on your phone, whether it’s an Android or an iOS.
2). To send a voice message to someone, open the chatbox option for the person you want to send the message to.
3). Press and hold the mic button to record a voice message.
4). After you’ve finished recording, click the phone’s home button. Open WhatsApp again and by this time the recording has stopped.
5). Click the play icon to preview the voice message before you send it. If you want to delete it, you can use the delete icon.
