How to detect an ‘unfriend’ act on Facebook

Facebook in recent times has made it easy to unfriend contacts by just clicking on the unfriend button. Some of us must have been wondering why our friend count is down as against previous counts.

According to Business Insider(Tech), Rachell Zarrell of Buzzfeed (a browser extension for Google Chrome) spotted this new free app called ‘Who deleted me’ available on iOS and Android.

It works by simply saving a copy of your friend list after you first use Who Deleted Me. By visiting the the app or browser extension, it compares your friend list with the saved version which implies that you might not see who deleted you as far back as 2012. At the last time of logon, a list of who stopped being your friend on Facebook as well as any new friends is provided. The app also provides the ability to know whether it was you who deleted a contact or you simply rendered your profile inactive. Website outages has been one of the concerns of the new app. The Who Deleted Me app page on Facebook presently has over 38,000 likes which shows there are more opportunities for this new app.

You can install the Who Deleted Me Google Chrome extension here .
