The collaboration will harness the strengths of both companies to provide scaled digital services to over 300 million businesses, public sector organizations, and consumers spanning Europe and Africa.

    Key Highlights of the Partnership:

    1. Generative AI Revolutionizing Customer Experience:
      • Microsoft’s Azure OpenAI will be leveraged to employ generative AI technology, enhancing customer satisfaction by delivering real-time, proactive, and hyperpersonalized experiences across all Vodafone customer touchpoints.

    2. Scaling IoT Connectivity:
      • Microsoft will invest in Vodafone’s new, standalone global Internet of Things (IoT)-managed connectivity platform, connecting 175 million devices and platforms globally.
      • Vodafone plans to become part of the Azure ecosystem, opening up the IoT platform to a vast developer and third-party community through open APIs.
    3. Africa Digital Acceleration:
      • Microsoft will support the scaling of M-Pesa, Africa’s largest financial technology platform, by housing it on Azure and enabling the launch of new cloud-native applications. It will expand M-Pesa to improve financial inclusion across Africa
      • A purpose-led program will aim to enrich the lives of 100 million consumers and 1 million SMEs across Africa, focusing on digital literacy, skilling, youth outreach programs, and providing digital services to underserved SMEs.
    4. Enterprise Growth:
      • Vodafone commits to distributing Microsoft services, including Azure, security solutions, and modern work offerings, positioning itself to become Europe’s leading business platform.
      • Business customers can deploy Microsoft’s cloud-based services with low adoption and running costs, supporting the estimated 24 million SMEs across Europe.
    5. Cloud Transformation:
