    Heirs Technologies Accredited by NRS

Heirs Technologies has been accredited by the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) as a System Integrator authorized to support Nigerian businesses in complying with the Federal Government’s mandatory e-Invoicing framework under the Merchant Buyer Solution (MBS). The accreditation positions the company to play a critical role in helping organizations align their invoicing systems with Nigeria’s evolving digital tax infrastructure.

The approval, which appears on the NRS-approved service providers directory, enables Heirs Technologies to integrate corporate invoicing and enterprise systems directly with the national e-Invoicing platform. This allows for invoice validation, secure data exchange, and automated regulatory reporting in line with government requirements.

Nigeria’s e-Invoicing initiative is a central component of broader tax administration reforms aimed at improving transparency, standardizing invoice processes, and strengthening revenue assurance. As the framework is rolled out, businesses across multiple sectors are increasingly required to ensure their invoicing operations comply with the new digital standards or risk regulatory penalties.

Heirs Technologies said the accreditation allows it to deliver end-to-end e-Invoicing compliance services, from initial readiness assessments to system integration, validation, and ongoing technical support. The company noted that its approach is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing accounting, ERP, and enterprise systems, reducing operational disruption while ensuring regulatory compliance.

According to the company, e-Invoicing should not be viewed solely as a technology upgrade but as a broader compliance obligation that cuts across finance, tax governance, operations, and IT systems.

“E-Invoicing is fundamentally a compliance requirement that cuts across finance, tax, operations, and technology,” said George Njuguna, Chief Technology and Innovation Officer at Heirs Technologies. “Successful implementation requires both strong system integration capability and a clear understanding of regulatory and tax obligations.”

To address this complexity, Heirs Technologies combines its internal digital transformation and systems integration expertise with close collaboration alongside tax and regulatory professionals. This dual approach, the company said, ensures that solutions delivered to clients are not only technically compliant but also aligned with prevailing tax laws and reporting standards.

The accreditation comes at a time when Nigerian authorities are accelerating efforts to digitise tax administration and improve revenue collection. By mandating electronic invoicing, the government aims to reduce leakages, enhance transaction traceability, and create a more efficient interface between businesses and tax authorities.

As an accredited System Integrator, Heirs Technologies is expected to support organizations across sectors—including manufacturing, retail, financial services, and professional services—as they transition to the new invoicing framework. The company said its solutions are designed to scale with business growth while maintaining compliance as regulatory requirements evolve.

Beyond e-Invoicing, Heirs Technologies offers a wide range of technology and business transformation services, including cloud infrastructure, enterprise systems integration, managed services, cybersecurity, data and artificial intelligence solutions, software licensing, and digital transformation consulting. These capabilities reinforce its position as a leading African technology solutions provider supporting both private and public sector organizations.

Heirs Technologies is a subsidiary of Heirs Holdings, the pan-African investment company with interests across energy, financial services, healthcare, real estate, hospitality, and technology. The company said its growing role in national digital initiatives reflects its broader commitment to supporting Africa’s digital economy and enterprise transformation agenda.

As Nigeria continues to expand the scope of its e-Invoicing mandate, accredited providers such as Heirs Technologies are expected to play a key role in helping businesses navigate compliance requirements while modernizing their financial and operational systems.
