    Health startup, AikoCorp emerges winner of Seedstars Bamako

    AikoCorp, a health startup that offers SMS services for sending medical lab results to patients has been declared the winner of the Bamako leg of Seedstars competition for emerging markets.

    AikoCorp took came tops while Transup, which allows users to transfer phone credit between different operators came second; and Feuze, a motorcycle registration and insurance device was placed third.

    The Malian startup which beat 8 other startups will join 65 winners that will be picked from different parts of the world to battle for US$1 million at the finals in Switzerland next year

    Seedstars World is a Switzerland-based startup competition that takes place in emerging markets. It runs over 65 local competitions where the best seed-stage startups are identified, given pitch training and winners are rewarded with an opportunity to compete in the Seedstars Summit where one of the startups will be declared Seedstars World Global Winner.
