A health and wellness firm has created a series of at-home blood tests to address the growth in chronic sickness, which now affects more than 15 million people worldwide.
Omnos, an intelligent health system, has developed finger-prick blood tests that will provide more data-driven insights into health and wellbeing. The tests look at a mix of up to 42 blood markers, guaranteeing that they are tailored to individuals’ specific needs.
The Omnos wellbeing program is designed to look at six fundamental components of a person’s life, analyzing DNA, biomarkers, and lifestyle to discover the largest influences on their overall wellness and help them to make informed health decisions.
Blood tests give consumers focused insights into their bodies, allowing them to determine the likely origins of specific ailments. This is then backed up by more information and tailored recommendations on how they might improve their health. The blood tests can be combined with seven other tests, depending on what Omnos users want to know — everything from general wellness testing to thyroid and hormone-specific tests for men and women, as well as a fertility and hormone test.
Personal dashboards provide the results visually. The approach delivers a scoring analysis to help users choose and understand topics to work on. Users are also granted a 15-minute complimentary online consultation with one of Omnos’ certified health practitioners who will be able to walk them through their results and answer any queries.
“Everyone’s health is different, and the epidemic has prompted us to consider our health more than ever before,” Christian Thomson, Omnos’ head of product, said. “We’re doing functional testing, so we’re looking to see if blood markers are in their optimal ranges and how they change over time.”
Blood tests are commonly used for diagnosis, but we’re doing functional testing, so we’re looking to see if blood markers are in their optimal ranges and how they change over time. Blood tests provide a good indicator of what’s going on inside the body since they show how the body’s systems and organs are working. We can cross-reference these results with other tests to help people understand what’s going on in their bodies and how to enhance and optimize their health.
“Preventative medicine is grossly underutilized; nutrition and lifestyle are not given as much attention as other symptoms, despite the fact that they might have a significant impact. Numerous people suffer from chronic illnesses such as fatigue, gastritis, and cardiac problems, and we can assist them in gaining further insights and support to guarantee they have the tools necessary to enhance their life. We’ve received an extraordinary response from customers, particularly for the wellness comprehensive blood tests — sales in the first two weeks have exceeded our estimates by 300 percent.”
The tests were created by Omnos’ scientific labs and health practitioner partners, yet they are presented in an easy-to-understand format so that users can gain a comprehensive picture of their health. The wellness platform has created a grading system that looks at where users may improve and provides specific recommendations based on each test.
“You’ll be able to discover the likely causes for a wide variety of ailments, such as bloating, abnormal weight loss or gain, weariness, and heartburn, among others – as well as examine how your liver and kidneys are working, cholesterol levels, and red and white blood cell counts,” Thomson added.
Samples are collected at home and returned to Omnos, with results available in 3-5 days. Users have complete control over their raw results data, which is never shared with third parties and can be retrieved at any time.
Based on the test findings, each individual result provides a full description, delving down into each area to provide individualized recommendations, such as foods to eat and supplements to take, as well as activities to do and avoid.
