Twitter has just announced a new feature where you can use direct messages to speak to 20 people at the same time.

With this new group feature, you can start chatting with any of your followers and they don’t all need to follow one another in order to chat. You can create a group in just a few taps. When you’re added to a group, you’ll get a notification.

According to Twitter Product Director, Jinen Kamdar in a blog post;  “Whatever the case may be, the ability to converse privately with groups gives you more options for how and with whom you communicate on Twitter.”

Here is a short video that tells you more about the new feature.
